Watch Care Kit

Watch Care Kit by Blitz contains 4 items including:

  • Foamz™ Foaming Jewelry Cleaner
  • Multipurpose Microfiber
  • Single-ply Jewelry Care Cloth aka a polishing cloth
  • Silicone Treated Cloth

Determine What Type of Watch You Own

This first step may sound like a no-brainer however, you don’t want to risk damaging your watch by using the wrong products. Foamz™ is not for use on porous gems, pearls, or stones that are loose or glued. Foamz™ is safe for use on gold, silver, platinum, stainless steel, leather, plastic, rubber, etc. The single-ply Jewelry Care Cloth is also not for use on pearls, porous stones, 24k (carat or karat) gold, or lacquered surfaces. This can many times include fashion jewelry. If you are cleaning a fashion jewelry watch, please only use Foamz™ and the non-treated microfiber cloth. The Silicone Treated Cloth is meant to clean genuine leather. Because of the value of your watch, please read all Blitz directions carefully before cleaning. Make sure to remove the band of your watch if your watch is not water proof. [hr]

Step One: Use the Foamz™ and Microfiber to clean the dirt, makeup, etc. from the surface of your watch.

Foamz Travel Jewelry Cleaner

The Microfiber is non-abrasive and safe to use on watch faces. Pump the Foamz™ on to the surface of the watch and allow the foam to set. This will help to loosen the dirt making cleaning much easier.  Foamz™ can be used at home or during travel as the liquid content is the approved amount for air travel.

Step Two: Use the Microfiber Cloth to Dry and Buff

Microfiber Cloth

Dry the foam jewelry cleaner using the microfiber and buff the surface of the watch face and/or the stones. If your watch is adorned with diamonds or other sparkling gems you will instantly notice a better light refraction.

Step Three: Use the Jewelry Care Cloth to polish metal surfaces

Again, when we say metal we mean gold (not 24k), silver, platinum, and stainless steel. Take the cloth on the pre-cleaned areas and gently rub the surface in a circular motion. If your watch is tarnished this step may require several applications. Tarnish due to age or neglect requires work or elbow grease. Use the cloth to loosen the tarnish then use the non-treated Microfiber cloth to buff the surface. This helps complete the polishing step. [hr]

Step Four: Use the Silicone Treated Cloth to restore your leather watch band

Remove the cloth from the sealed package and gently wipe down your watch band. Again, follow up with the Microfiber cloth to evenly distribute the polish.
